G I G will be holding 1 session of Public Speaking Workshop in the month of August and this time is all about how to teach Public Speaking to children age 8 years old to 16 years old.
The workshop covers 3 hours of presentation, role-play, games and activities to help participants develop the basic public speaking teaching skills. The techniques and tips presented is effective to a group of students.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• help students overcome fear of Public Speaking
• learn the art of Impromptu Speaking teaching
• help students plan Speech Organization – Impact to speech openings and closings
• help students to ensure that their message is understood by using the right pronunciation
• help students become a natural effective speaker with appropriate body language
#Trainer’s Profile: Andy Yam
Andy is an expert in public speaking whose passion lies in teaching the art of persuasion and inspiring people to sell themselves effectively.
As an edupreneur with 12 years of experience in sales and marketing, Andy owns 3 successful education businesses that have changed the lives of over 2,500 students.
Andy is known for implementing unique but powerful public speaking techniques that are simple and yet highly effective.
These techniques are currently used at organizations like Fujitsu, Standard Chartered, Samsung Siltronics, Fuji Xerox, SAFRA, Carrier, Kent Ridge Tutors Consultancy, Kendang Kerbau Hospital, and American Club Singapore among many others, where he was engaged to conduct public speaking, customer service management, and sales training workshops.
As a highly versatile trainer, Andy also conducts workshops and short courses for children and young adults in public speaking, stress management, financial literacy, social etiquette & fine dining, and mind math at government schools, country clubs, tuition centres, and other organizations. He has done over 50 engagement talks and trained over 1,500 students.
Andy’s foray into public speaking started over a decade ago where he came 2nd at Guinness Manhunt 2000 and was awarded “Mr. Personality” and “Mr. Photogenic.” Since then, and till today (even after putting on a few extra kilos), he is still a highly sought-after MC for weddings, corporate events, and road shows.
Andy has just completed his Business English Communications Degree at Cambridge International College, UK, and will be graduating end of the year. He is currently writing a book on public speaking for teenagers which will be launched early next year.
